Tour de France 2010 - Breakfast in Somerville, MA

If you live in the Boston, MA area of the world, pure bliss has returned! On July 14 and 22, Redbones BBQ in Somerville, MA (at 55 Chester Street), will again be doing their TDF breakfasts.

These are sessions where you ride your bike (they have a bike valet at Redbones) to the restaurant and get to watch the Tour de France on TV with other like-minded fans and cyclists.

It's fun, energizing and tasty. I'll be at one or both of these fun events. Hope to see you there.

Scooter Parking in Boston

If you ride a scooter or motorcycle in the city of Boston, as of today there are SUPPOSED to be meters around the Back Bay for you to park at.

According to folks I talked to last night at the Boston Scoots ride, these meters were supposed to be in by today but are not in and there's no official word from the BTD as to when they will appear.

Word is that these meters - at spots at the end of blocks with room for four or five two-wheeled motorized vehicles - will cost only $.25 per hour with no limit (or a 10-hour limit).

It's good stuff, or will be when it happens, and I'll keep you updated on this issue.

Thoughts?

Fondue, The Shipyard and Dressing Up

This week we've got Fondue Monday, a Shipyard visit Tuesday, a #140Conf meetup with Jeff Pulver on Tuesday night, a dressy event with Emmi Sorokin on Wednesday at the House of Blues, a bunch of tech sessions and AdClub stuff on Thursday, and then NomX3 is filming at Sonsie on Friday at lunch. Holy. Crap.

What's on your plate this week?

Tuesday at Enterprise 2.0

Today's events (Monday) are nearly wrapped up, although there is an evening reception from 4:30-7:30 titled Evening in the Cloud. But I'm looking ahead at the sessions offered tomorrow at the Enterprise 2.0 Conference.

Unlike today's sessions which were about 3:15 long, the classes on Tuesday are quick-hit, one-hour sessions and there are a lot of them. Here's what I'm thinking of going to...

8AM - New Approaches to Breaking Down Information Silos
9AM - Keynotes
1PM - From Idea to Delivery: Apps Don't Deploy Themselves
also at 1PM - Socializing With Video: How Emerging Video Applications will Impact Enterprise Collaboration
2:15PM - Microsharing: It is All About the Tools. It it Not About the Tools.
3:30PM - You Say Social Media, I Say Community—Does it Matter?

Then there are attendee parties, and social media add-on Tweetups and also a boat trip and then some private events for media.

Hoping to run into Social Julio, Steve Garfield, Chris Brogan, Anne Weiskopf, Mike Schneider and others sometime during the show.

I'm over-scheduled, overstimulated and excited for the rest of the week. Are you here? What are you going to?
